Mark,
I was really excited that Josh threw so well at the sectionals. I figured he might get 46 or maybe 47', but to hear he threw almost 49' was really great. Thank you so much for giving him the coaching tips at the meet. I'm sure there is no way he would have thrown that far without your help. That has been a problem for us in that Josh gets training through your clinics and sessions but has no daily coaching and may not be technically sound on meet day. He has still done pretty well with what we have been able to afford for him in time and money but probably not as good as if he had a HS coach who could tweak his technique on a more regular basis.
Thanks again for your help and his coach was thrilled with his performance and is grateful for your coaching of Josh. I'm hoping to get to the Group 4 meet and hope to see you there.

You had more than a little to do with his success. Your energy, knowledge and passion were infectious. Sam left your sessions pumped up and ready to do damage each of the two times that we saw you. I have no doubt that we'll connect with you again for some tweaking. As I said before, I know that I have enough knowledge to get him to 200 and maybe a little over. But I really think he has the ability to throw over 230 and I will need someone like you to get him there. Thanks Mark.

Personal Testimonial: What's the value of a single Mirabelli session for a coach or an athlete? Well, I have been coaching my son Sam since he caught the throwing bug in eight grade, Sam is now a Freshman at East Brunswick HS in NJ. and has gone from throwing 137' with the 1K discus last year, to throwing over 153 with the 1.6K after folowing Mark's methods religiously. As a former thrower and coach myself, I know what to look for and how to tweak my son's maturing skills. However, after spending one session with Mark, I was able pick up critical insight on how to nurture my son's abilities and my son was able to hear from one of the best in the game on how to coach himself in the circle. In rain or shine, snow and cold, Sam has spent countless hours using Mark's techniques over the 2008/2009 winter and it has borne early fruit. After throwing over 153 in just his first meet of the 2009 season, we are adjusting our goals upwards. Recession or no recession, a few sessions with Mark is an invaluable investment for any thrower's improvement. Mark, thanks for your support and we'll see you soon.
Regards,
Marlon and Sam Mattis

I am very sorry to say my son Matt McMurdo and I won't be able to attend this year. He is a college freshman at Salisbury University. He did played football in the fall and started 8 plus games for them at middle linebacker. He now is competing in indoor where they have him putting the shot. His specialty of course is the javelin, and that of course will have to wait for outdoor season.
I wanted you to know that in no small part to your clinics which Matt attended the last two years that he accomplished what not too many school boy athletes have accomplished and if they have I don't think it happens too often. The enthusiasm Matt exhibited after learning the correct techniques made him work harder to excel in the three throwing events. Matt qualified for states in all three throwing events at PA States. Although he did not place in the discus. He was very close in shot, (I think his nerves got the best of him. He only threw 51 something and was throwing 53, 54 and had thrown 56.6" at his district meet for CB WEST) He did however finishe 4th in the State in Javelin, but again fell short of his best of 206' which got him third at Penn Relays.
I just wanted you to know that your clinics and the people you have there are first class like John Taylor, Brian Wethy and some other great throwers, had helped Matt a great, great deal. I wish we had known sooner before Matt got to high school. I think he could have possibly medaled in all three at States if we had received good training earlier on. (Paul Poiesz our good friend gave us your info after Matt's sophmore year)
We wish you and your family the best and hope are paths will cross at one of the many meets we will attend in the future.

After finishing my junior season I was only a halfway decent javelin thrower with a personal best at 151 and some change, I didn't even make it past the state sectional meet. My coach told me that if i wanted to take my throwing to the next level I would need a personal coach. So he reccomended Coach Mirabelli. I started training in the summer with Coach Mirabelli, and after only a few sessions my throws went from an occasional 150 to a consistent high 160 even a few at 170. During the season I came in first in every dual meet, and came in 1st in the Somerset County Championships. I came in third at the state group meet with a personal best ,and a school record throw of 180 feet 6 inches.
I refuse to believe that there is a coach more passionate about the throwing events than Coach Mirabelli, his passion and technical coaching style, are what makes him the best coach around !

Mark,
We just want to thank you again for all the help that you have given Bridget. She attained her goal of earning All Catholic Honorable Mention (fifth place) in the Archdiocesan Finals for the javelin. She placed seventh in her discus throw in which she had never even placed before. Thank you again.

Mark,
Thanks so much for your javelin clinic! I learned so much and now consider myself an actual Jav coach. You break down the fundamentals into basics that the kids really absorbed. From stretching to drills our team now uses. We gain so much from your expertise and had a ball doing it!

My son Pete is fifteen years old and clearly needed some personal training in all three throws events. I read testimonials portion of Mark's website and was impressed, but skeptical-could anybody really be that good? Well, I'm here to tell you this guy's for real! After only two sessions my son increased his personal best in the javelin from 126' to 141' and the shot from 33' to 39'. It's a two hour trip for us but that won't stop us from continuing to train with Coach Mark. We love his energy, passion for the sport, and the fact that he genuinely wants his students to succeed.

During my sophomore year in High School, I averaged in the 150's with the javelin. My best was a mere 160'. At the end of the track season, my coach announced to me that she taught me all that she knew about the javelin, and if wanted to further improve, to see Coach Mark Mirabelli. During my first session with him, I already saw improvements. During that lesson, I went from 160' to 165'. Through five lessons,Coach Mirabelli has brought me from 160' to 195'. He also helped me to place 5th in the Penn Relays with a throw of 194'. Besides increasing my throwing distance, he has helped me improved my consistency by greatly improving my confidence. Mark is a great coach and a phenomenal teacher. If you want to improve your throwing, I highly recommend Coach Mirabelli!

It is unbelievable! We know he would not have gotten this far without You! You have been there and truly believed in him and gave him so much confidence in him self to follow his dreams and goals and accomplish them too! You gave him special attention and went way beyond what we ever expected of a coach. (Here we thought we were just sending him for a few little throwing lessons) What we got in return was more than we ever could have expected. You have been a wonderful Coach, Mentor, and friend to all of us! Pete, Cody and I are truly grateful for all you have done to get Cody where he is today!
